During the 11th Australasian Permaculture Convergence (APC11) Albert Bates, a former environmental and civil rights lawyer and founder of the Global Ecovillage Network gave an eye opening presentation on permaculture principles with regards to how they impact “neglected externalities”, especially global climate issues and carbon’s role in permaculture. CHAB III at NESFI

If you’re located near western Massachusetts and have in interest in biochar, there’s an immersive four day learning experience scheduled for August 6-10, 2012. The CHAB (Combined Heat and Biochar) camp will be hosted by the Biomass Energy Foundation and takes place at NESFI (New England Small Farm Institute).
